The concrete scope for the Denn John Middle School project encompassed the full installation of structural foundations, including isolated footings, continuous footings, and grade beams in alignment with architectural and structural layouts. Slab-on-grade concrete was placed throughout classrooms, corridors, multipurpose areas, and mechanical rooms, incorporating edge thickening and recessed areas as specified in the construction documents. Additional scope included the formation of concrete stairs, ramps, and stem walls to support vertical transitions and architectural elevations. Embedded items and blockouts were coordinated to accommodate future installation of structural steel and mechanical systems. All work was performed in conjunction with the broader construction of classroom wings, administrative areas, restrooms, and multipurpose spaces, forming the core of the new public school facility. The project required careful sequencing and adherence to material standards, building codes, and detailed layout sections to ensure smooth integration across trades and building systems.
